All of the living space is conveniently located on one floor. The layout affords ample privacy for two couples but can accommodate up to 6 comfortably.

Two nice-sized bedrooms, each with Queen beds and 2 full baths are ideal for 4 people. A pull-out Queen sofa in the LR can sleep 2 more when needed. Both bedrooms offer great closet space, luxury linens, blankets and a selection of pillows, plus alarm clocks, room-darkening blinds and reading lights. We also provide towels and a start-up supply of soap, toilet paper, napkins and cleaning products.

Bring movies! There is a 42” 1080p LCD TV with cable, HBO and BluRay player in the Living Room. We include free high-speed internet AND WiFi, for those who want to stay connected. There’s also a dockable stereo/clock for iPhone and iPods. For your comfort, Central A/C, LR ceiling fan and BR fans are included plus a full-size W/D.
Bring your boat or RV or just hang out
Ample parking for cars and boat trailer or RV. Bring your boat, there are 2 free public boat ramps, each less than a mile away. The yard is newly landscaped and features a variety of Southern favorites perfect for sitting out on a nice day. Bring a bike for touring, or take a short walk to the shops and restaurants nearby.

St. Marys, GA, the South’s best-kept secret
Fishing and boating, Biking, golf and kayaking are popular in the area. Golf cart and bicycle rentals are also available for riding around town taking in the historical homes and old mossy oaks that line the streets of the downtown historic district where Slip Away is located. The Riverfront park (where you meet the ferry to Cumberland Island), the marina, seafood restaurants, the city park, churches, shopping, museums, antique stores and Saturday farm market are all walkable. Nearby is the Aquatic Center with pools for children and adults, a library, movie theater and several shopping and grocery stores. The Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge is located 40 minutes west of town. The Jacksonville Airport is only 25 minutes South. Savannah is 90 minutes North. St. Marys is also home to the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.

Just 8 miles, yet a world-away, from I-95, within easy commuting distance to the sights, shopping, dining and beaches of Savannah, St Simons and Cumberland Island in Georgia and St Augustine, Jacksonville, and Fernandina in Florida. Only in St Marys can you rock on a swing along the river front as the sun dips into the state’s southern-most boundary, enjoy an evening concert under the stars, drink a cold beverage at one of several cafes or eat just-caught sweet Georgia shrimp, all within walking distance of home. Locals ride by and wave from bikes and golf-carts, kids play near the fountain in the park and everybody shows up for morning coffee at the shops along Osborne St. Life moves at an old-fashioned pace and with a vanishing grace that you swore no longer existed.
