House of 6 needs one more housemate

We enjoy our home and our lives, and are looking for another upbeat, organized, semi-co-operative, clean and progressively green person to join us here (household of 7). The opening is for a bright, smallER room with a walk-in closet, eastern light, a small balcony and cable on the third floor of our three-story house. There's a nice shared bathroom in the hall. On the main floor (2nd floor) we share a dining room and kitchen nook, open living room, kitchen and butler’s pantry and a balcony that spans the whole length of the house. The 1st floor shared space includes a rumpus room for projects, garage for ample storage, laundry room (washer and dryer-no quarters needed!), an exit to an historical Oakland stairwell, plenty of bike storage room and another balcony that spans the length of the whole house. From every floor you can see the Golden Gate Bridge and there are hardwood floors throughout. Outside is a huge sunny garden that we are planting with herbs and edibles as well as natives and flowers. The house is a safe 10 minute walk from BART and all College Avenue shops-there’s plenty of non-permitted street parking. Three of us are leaving the house and the remaining housies are four young artisans and professionals, aged 22-26 years, and a small sized mixed dog in a mansion in Rockridge. 1.5/mo.rent deposit utilities not included - we do have bundled cable, phone, wireless and the bill usually runs $60-80, depending on the weather.
