Tremont is a newly re-gentrified area of Cleveland, right next to downtown, on the very near southwest side. Many historic homes here have been renovated to their former glory, and are kept company by various neighborhood restaurants and taverns, many of which have gained recognition for being the best in the city, even the region. Many artistic/creative types call Tremont home, which has helped spark this rejuvenation of late. At the center is picturesque Lincoln Park, home to many cultural events through the spring, summer, and fall. At the other end of Tremont is Steelyard Commons, a new outdoor shopping center built within the last 2 years, which contains a Target, Home Depot, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, several chain restaurants, and many more national retailers. The best thing about the Steelyard Commons is that you get all the convenience of having it almost right in your front yard without having to look at it every day, because it is in a valley which is down a hill and out of sight from the house. Tremont is without a doubt one of the coolest places to live in Cleveland.
